Did the Acropolis always look the way it does today? Were there earlier temples before the Parthenon? The history of the Acropolis is so old, that it traces way back in time yet so vast, that it reaches up to the present and continues. This history, revealed in the Museum’s galleries through valuable exhibits, is explored by the students in a very engaging way.
Students in 4th – 6th grades of primary school take on active roles in a fictional adventure, tasked with completing a challenging mission. Through the search for specific exhibits, they get to know the rich history of the city’s most important sanctuary.
Junior high school students discover the adventures of the Acropolis and its monuments, as well as the secrets behind the display of the artifacts. How did all these fascinating objects end up in these galleries? Why were these particular items chosen, and what do they reveal to us? Is it easy to organize such an exhibition? Through discussion and visual materials, the students search for the answers and test their skills in the museological design of an archaeological exhibition.
